Privacy Policy

The short version

Typekata collects no data. It has no account, no analytics, no advertising and no networking code of any kind. Everything the app does happens on your device, and everything it stores stays there.

What the app stores on your device

• Fight results: the mode, opponent, outcome, words a minute, accuracy, best combo and date of each fight.
• Per-key statistics: for each letter, how many times you hit it, how many times you missed it, and how quickly you typed it.
• Progress: belts earned, streak, personal bests.
• Settings: your accent colour, icon, sparring length and sound preference.

What you type during a fight is compared against the word on screen and then discarded. Typekata never stores the text you type, and it has no way to send it anywhere.

What the app does not do

• It does not connect to the internet. The app contains no network code, so it cannot upload, sync or phone home.
• It does not ask for any permission. No microphone, camera, contacts, location or notifications.
• It does not include third-party software development kits, trackers or analytics.
• It does not show advertising and has no in-app purchases.

Apple Intelligence

After a fight, Typekata can show a short coach note written by Apple Intelligence. This runs entirely on your device using Apple's on-device model; the only input is your fight numbers and the keys you missed. If Apple Intelligence is unavailable or switched off, the note is simply not shown and everything else works as normal.

Widgets

The Home Screen widget reads your best speed and streak from the same on-device storage the app uses. Nothing leaves the device.

Children

Typekata is rated 9+ for mild cartoon violence (stick figures). It collects no information from anyone, of any age.

Deleting your data

Settings, Reset all progress, removes every fight, belt, streak and key statistic. Deleting the app does the same. Because nothing is ever uploaded, there is nothing anywhere else to delete.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date. Since the app collects nothing, changes would only ever be clarifications.
